Dry Run
August 12, 2008 at 7:51 pm | In Arts & Crafts, jewelry | Leave a CommentHey gang! So you may have noticed that little logo over there —->
for Chubby Bunny, my online shop that has been hiatus for a little over a year. Well, I’m resurrecting that baby. I pared down selection to help me focus on a few items and not be so scattered, but will be adding more items, including “real” jewelry (for grown ups who don’t want to wear bunnies), bags, and (maybe) apparel.
Please consider helping me work the bugs out before I begin promoting it, by visiting and clicking around. If you experience slowness in pages or pictures loading, or other glitches, please let me know. Any and all feedback would be of great help.
You can follow the image link or click here to be whisked away. And thanks!
It’s official.
March 7, 2007 at 4:58 pm | In nesting | 1 CommentPoethelena will soon be a place where you can find everything from stories about illicit underage sex, to advice on how to cope with that atrocious kitchen tile. I’ve gone over to the dark side. I’m one step away from becoming a mommy blog. I’ve added a new category…”home.” Why? How? Because I’m totally gay for the Cure.
For the next eight weeks (well, seven and a few days), I’m signing up for the Apartment Therapy Cure. It’s a program to turn any cluttered, inhospitable space into the cozy little nest it was meant to be.
I’ll try to keep my pics and narrative confined to the flickr category I’ve created for this purpose…but once in a while, I’m sure I’ll fail. For anyone interested, the larger pool of photos in the Apartment Therapy Cure is here.
If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave comments and notes on my flickr photos! No haters tho. I’ll delete that shit, quick.

Chubby Bunny is open for business!!
November 14, 2006 at 2:01 pm | In jewelry | 3 CommentsWell, it’s finally time. After a lot of gluing, painting, image editing, and computer loathing I am proud to present…
Chubby Bunny is the new shop chock-full of handmade and vintage goods, created and collected by me (Helena Lazaro!). Everything from earrings to purses and brooches to bobby pins can be found here! In the coming weeks, selection will expand to include a wider choice of bags and apparel, as well as an ever-changing variety of vintage treats.
Please stop by and check it out. The prices are reasonable, the products are unique, and until the end of the year shipping is free on orders of $50 or more! In addition, I will gift-package all jewelry items free. Just ask during checkout! Click the images above or below to open a new window.
To post a Chubby Bunny image link on your Myspace page and receive a link back on mine (friend me so we can swap!), copy and paste the text below:
I’ll catch up shortly!
September 18, 2006 at 4:00 pm | In jewelry | 9 CommentsLater tonight I promise there will be some poetry so soul-lacerating that it will make up for my lateness. But for now, for NOW I have a task that I must ask for your help to complete. I need you all to take a peek at this image and tell me which font you like. I am having a hard time deciding which one to use for the new craft site and I could use a fresh set of eyes to help me out!! You can vote in a comment, or email me if you’re the shy type.

Nerdy Nitpickers Wanted!
January 27, 2006 at 1:13 pm | In jewelry | Comments OffTo view and critique/try to break the page I have developed for my jewelry (my recent, all-consuming obsession).
I would like to know how you rate it in terms of ease of use and all that.
Please enlist any other nerds who would like to tell me how I suck, so I can get better. Your help would be greatly appreciated, as I’ve been staring at it so long that I can’t really make out what’s what any more.
How Lovely!
November 13, 2004 at 12:47 am | In jewelry | 1 CommentThe jewelry sale was a great success! My inventory has pretty much been wiped out. An enormous thank you to Ju Shim for making sure my prices didn’t get absolutely ridiculous. I probably would have given it away if she wasn’t there. And thanks also to Jeanne McGuire, for encouraging me to take up this hobby again and organizing the beading night that got it all rolling.
You guys rule!
There may be another sale before Christmas…I’ll post details as they are available. I know you’re just dying to hear all about it.
In the meantime, I’ll be making more jewelry again and still posting it to the photoblog at buzznet. I’ve organized by category, since the growth of my collection mandates some better way to navigate it at this point. These wire hoops were very popular, and an original design I haven’t seen elsewhere.
Joy!
Idle Hands
July 20, 2004 at 12:44 am | In jewelry | 5 CommentsCheck me out! I’m a jewelry making machine. Well, hardly a machine. I’m slow and rather inefficient. But the results are rather nice, aren’t they?
